A wonderful American Meat loaf filled with various fresh vegetables, tomato and crème fraîche.
Preparation time: 55 minutes.
500 grams minced beef,
2.5 tablespoon olive oil,
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 clove garlic (pressed),
0.5 red bell pepper (diced),
1 small carrot (into small cubes),
1 stalk celery (in small pieces),
40 grams breadcrumbs,
0.1 liter crème fraiche,
1 small can tomato paste (68 grams),
0.5 tsp chilli powder,
pinch of nutmeg,
pinch of salt,
pinch 4-season pepper (freshly ground).
1 cake tin of about 25 centimeters (10 inches) long.
Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion and garlic about 2 minutes.
Add the red bell peppers, carrots and celery and sauté for about 5 minutes.
Grease the cake tin with a half tablespoon oil.
Knead the minced beef in a bowl with the breadcrumbs, the cream, the tomato and vegetable mixture together.
Bring the beef mixture to taste with chili powder, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Press the mince in the cake tin and spread the top smooth.
Bake the American meat loaf approximately 40 minutes in the oven at 190 ° C.
Take the American meat loaf from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for about 8 minutes.
Cut the American meatloaf into slices.
Serve with pasta and beans.
