Preparation time : 25 minutes.
400 grams of white Surinam rice,
50 grams sugar
0.8 teaspoon turmeric,
2 teaspoons salt
0.8 tablespoon butter,
0.8 teaspoon cinnamon powder
200 grams raisins
0.8 tsp grated lemon zest.
Put all of the ingredients in the pan.
Pour in the water* and bring it to a boil.
Stir everything well through, and put the lid on the pan.
Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let it stand for 10 minutes with the lid on the pan.
*To cook the rice, you need 1.25 cup of water for each cup of rice.
