DutchCAULIFLOWER-BROCCOLI GRATIN

Cauliflower-Broccoli Gratin, prepared by the Happy Chief Cook.

The taste is soft and creamy.
The top of the dish is crispy.
You can sprinkle (if you like cheese) an extra 25 grams grated Emmenthal over the dish before it goes in the oven.
It is a simple dish to prepare.

Preparation time : 50 minutes, of which 30 minutes in the oven.
Serves: 4.

Ingredients:

350 grams cauliflower and broccoli florets,
salt to taste,
4-season pepper to taste,
80 grams of ham into strips,
1 egg,
0.1 liters cream,
nutmeg to taste,
50 grams grated Emmenthal,
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds,
butter.

Predirections:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Boil the cauliflower en broccoli in light salted water for 5 minutes.
Then rinse with cold water and let it drain.

Directions:

Grease a baking dish with butter.

Arrange the cauliflower, broccoli and ham in a baking dish.

Beat the egg with the cream, salt, 4-seasons pepper and nutmeg.
Then Stir 25 grams of grated Emmenthal through.

Pour the cheese cream mixture over the cauliflower and broccoli.

Sprinkle the sunflower seeds on top, and then the rest of the grated Emmenthal.

Let the food in the middle of the oven in about 30 minutes become golden brown.
