The chicken kebabs with onion and Roma tomatos are very tender and soft of taste. A dish from Egypt, prepared by the Happy Chief Cook.

Preparation time:

65 minutes.

 

Ingredients:

 

4 single chicken breasts,
2 tablespoons whole yogurt,
1 teaspoon salt,
0.5 teaspoon turmeric,
0.25 teaspoon mustard,
1 teaspoon curry powder,
0.25 teaspoon ground cardamom,
2 teaspoons lemon juice,
2 teaspoons vinegar,
16 half onion peel,
16 small Roma tomatoes,
4 tomatoes,
parsley,
white rice,

some extra lemon juice as garnish.

 

Directions:

 

Cut each chicken breast in 10 dice.

 

Mix the whole yogurt, salt, turmeric, mustard, curry powder, cardamom, lemon juice and vinegar.

Mix the chicken with the marinade.

Let the chicken pieces marinate at least a half hour.

 

Thread 8 skewers with successively 1 piece of chicken, 1 roma tomato, 1 piece of chicken, 1 onion peel, 1 piece of chicken, 1 onion peel, 1 piece of chicken, 1 roma tomato and 1 piece of chicken.

 

Roast about 20 minutes on the barbecue or under a hot grill (hot air 200 degrees Celsius) until they are lightly browned.

 

Serve on plates, drizzle lemon juice over them and garnish with fresh tomatoes, white rice and parsley.
