Traditionally, is the food cooked in a clay oven in the form of a barrel.
This is the tandoor oven.
In this recipe I have used the traditional tandoori spices and flavors and then we grill the lamb chops.
Tandoori cooking is very popular in India.
Spicy pink colored lamb chops.
Tandoori Lamb chops is an Indian dish prepared by the Happy Chief Cook.

Servings: 4.
Preparation time: 60 minutes.
8 lamb chops,
4 tablespoons whole yogurt,
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic (pressed from crushed),
2 tablespoons lime juice,
2 teaspoons ground cumin (djinten)
0.5 teaspoon cardamom powder
0.5 teaspoon chilli powder,
0.5 teaspoon garam masala
a few drops of red edible dye (in an asian shop available).
Remove all visible fat from the meat and set it aside.
Mix the yogurt for the marinade with ginger, garlic, lime juice, cumin (djinten), cardamom, chili powder and garam masala.
Add the red coloring to the marinade until pink.
Add the lamb chops there and make sure they are covered with a layer of marinade.
Marinate the meat 30 minutes.
Then remove the lamb chops from the marinade.
Grill or barbecue them 6 - 8 minutes.
Turn them regularly and lubricate them with the marinade.
Garam masala is a blend that you can buy in Asian shops.
The composition varies, but usually contains the mix coriander, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
